In science we have been learning about how sound travels !!  This week we have been  doing free-flow  based on what we have  learned in science which is how sound travels . In science we learned that when you play the guitar  the molecules in the air while surround  the guitar and make a vibration and then after the tiny molecules while then go throw one of your ear and tiny hairs  to send a message telling you that you heard a sound . Here is a video to make you understand more .

Fractions

December 4th, 2017 · 9 Comments · General News

In year four we have been learning about factions and we have been seeing which was biggest. Some children in the class/me were getting stuck on some of the of the questions that the teachers had applied for us. Today when all of us were working on the fractions the  answers were really easy but someone needed help on . Here’s a  quiz for you to do!

November 30th, 2017 · No Comments · General News

This week it was parliament week and in mornings there was activities to do with the parliament .

Every year the commons elect people from the parliament  that are the (MPs) to represent the views in the house of commons. The second part of the parliament is the house of lords  complement the work of the house of commons. The MPs or the commons are the leader of the parliament because Mps are just like the Prime minister that looks after streets or roads or cities and the commons like own there home or own Countries or some thing like that is why i think the commons or the MPs are the leaders of the parliament.

Everyone got a chance to make a graffiti tag in the workshop. What is a graffiti tag you may ask? A graffiti tag is a style of writing your name. To make one, you need tracing paper (see-through), a piece of card, a pot of water, a paintbrush and a paint pallet. You may also need one of these:

First, you will need to write your name like the letters above. Next, you will need to shade the bottom and the left of the letters. Thirdly, you need to turn around the tracing paper so the right way is facing flat on the card and trace the letters. Remember to include the shades as well! Then you turn the card and the paper around and trace the letters again. Then thicken the right side letters. Once you have finished doing that, you can start to paint the letters any colour you want. You’ve finished, have you? Well, next you make a splash around your name any colour you want. After that, you colour the rest brown. You’re done! Your tag should look something like this:

Thank you, Year 4 teachers for arranging this workshop for us.

Area and Perimeter

November 22nd, 2017 · 16 Comments · General News

In maths  we have been  learning about perimeter and area and if you don’t  what a perimeter or a area means then you are just about to find out . a perimeter is when you go all around the shape and measure the sides and then after you have to add up the sides  and that’s how you find out your answer  and  a area is when you go inside the shape and then you only add up the  length and the width on one side and then multiply  it ! Here’s a video  that might make you understand better.
